The beginning of time, when The Great Chief in the Sky had first made the world, he had Raven made who was a trickster man, called Weget. The Earth was dark and the sun was owned by a High ranking Gitxsan Chief, the Chief held the sun in a large bent-box and now and then, would allow his son to play with the sun. Weget knew the value of the sun and he wanted to bring light to the earth. So Weget made a plan to steal the sun, he would play with the Chiefs son and when everyone didn’t expect it, flew away with the sun and put it in the sky. Here the three faces of Raven the trickster man Weget dances with glee as he brings light to the world.
